Nov 10 – 12, 2026Shanghai Restaurants Cuisine Association works with Shanghai’s restaurant and culinary sector. It aims to provide services, reflect industry concerns and promote orderly professional activity, while advancing Chinese culinary culture and the city’s restaurant industry.
Its stated activities include industry standards, professional training and skills assessment, industry exchange and technical consultation, culinary competitions, and the promotion of products, ingredients and notable dishes. The Association also lists its “Green Restaurant” and “6T Practice” services.
The present organization was established in December 2011 following a merger of the former Shanghai Cooking Association and Shanghai Restaurants Industry Association.
In 2026, Shanghai’s municipal human resources and social security authority published a notice reproducing the Association’s operating procedures for skills evaluation in Chinese cooking and related culinary occupations. The Association is one of FHC’s joint organizers.
