China Shanghai International Children's Book Fair / CCBF 2026

The China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair takes place in Shanghai on 13–15 November 2026.

About the event

China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair (CCBF) 2026 takes place on 13–15 November 2026 on the ground floor of Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre (SWEECC). It focuses on children’s books, publishing, rights and illustration. Its professional programme connects literary and visual subjects with reading promotion, the book market and children’s intellectual property commercialization.

Conferences and seminars on 13 November

In the Official Conference Room in the Copyright Zone, 10:30–12:15 is allocated to International Children’s Reading Promotion Dialogue — Children’s Books from China: Forty Years Going Global. The same room hosts International Children’s Reading Promotion Dialogue — Building the Future Generation of Readers: Best Practices and Policies for Reading Promotion from 13:00 to 15:30. These meetings share a reading-development theme while addressing different subjects: Chinese books internationally and practices supporting future readers.

Chinese and Global Children’s Book Retail Market Analysis: 2026 Trends and Data follows in the Official Conference Room from 16:00 to 17:20, providing a separate market-focused subject in the day’s programme.

The Multimedia Stage in the Hybrid Zone starts with Children’s Books in Poland, 09:45–10:30. Pinocchio: A Tale Without Borders is scheduled for 11:00–12:00. Between the Real and the Imagined: Building Worlds for Children runs from 16:45 to 17:30. The stage’s announced subjects therefore encompass Polish children’s books, Pinocchio and the creation of fictional worlds.

Conferences and seminars on 14 November

The Official Conference Room hosts Award Winners’ Series — Back to the Origin: Where Are the Boundaries of Children’s Books? from 10:00 to 11:00. Children Plus: Spoken Words, Painted Worlds: Fables, Fairy Tales, Picture Books follows from 11:30 to 12:30.

Award Winners’ Series — Reaching Childhood: Pathways and Futures in Children’s Literature takes place in the same room from 13:30 to 14:30. Innovative Exploration in Children’s IP Commercialization follows from 15:00 to 16:30.

On the Multimedia Stage, Crossmedia Best Practices runs from 13:00 to 15:00. It partly overlaps with the afternoon Award Winners’ session. On 13 November, the late market-analysis session also overlaps with the session on building worlds, so visitors attending across rooms will need to choose their priorities.
