International Municipal Forum 2026

About the event

About the forum

International Municipal Forum is an annual platform for dialogue between government and business. The 2026 edition focuses on local self-government, economic development and international cooperation.

These subjects are closely connected: local decisions shape the development of communities and territories, while collaboration across the public and business sectors can help address economic and social challenges. The forum places municipal issues within this broader context.

Topics and audience

The forum’s focus includes the role of local self-government in developing cities and other territories, the conditions for economic growth, and cooperation between countries. Together, these themes offer a way to consider municipal priorities alongside wider development questions.

The event is relevant to people working on territorial governance, economic policy and international relations, as well as anyone seeking a clearer understanding of how these fields intersect.
