About the event
LIGNA is an international trade fair for woodworking and wood processing technologies, machinery and tools, scheduled in Hannover for 10–14 May 2027. Its seven areas span machinery for individual and series production, energy from wood, wood-based panels, forestry, machine components and automation, surface technology, and sawmill technology.
The exhibition covers solutions for solid wood, wood materials and composites; equipment for harvesting and transporting timber; and drives, CNC, robotics and material-handling systems. Surface technology includes sanding, coating, polishing, 3D printing and digital printing. Together, these areas connect production machinery, materials and finishing processes.
Special formats add practical and digital perspectives. LIGNA.Builds plans the construction of a timber-frame house during the five-day fair, while LIGNA.SmartWood brings together digital solutions for forestry and woodworking. Both formats connect the exhibition’s technologies with applied and digital themes in the sector.
LIGNA is scheduled at the Hannover exhibition grounds, 30521 Hannover. The fair is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00.
