Smart Agro 2026: 8th Federal Forum on IT and Digitalisation in Agriculture

About the event

The VIII Federal Forum on IT and Digitalisation in Agriculture, Smart Agro 2026, is scheduled for 29 October in Moscow. It focuses on digital platforms and technologies for agriculture, food companies and farms. The forum brings together IT and digital teams from agribusiness, software and equipment developers, integrators, telecom operators, regulators and industry experts.

The agenda covers digitalisation of field and farm operations, corporate management and data exchange with government platforms. A central question is how to move from pilot deployments to solutions that can be scaled across farms and companies. The programme also addresses business needs from developers and the conditions that shape reliable digital operations in practice.

Announced topics include digital twins and predictive analytics, whose laboratory performance may not transfer directly to field conditions. Practical questions include compatibility between Russian software, equipment and IoT sensors; working with data when connectivity is unstable; and integrating the Unified Digital Platform with ERP, FMS and farm-management systems. These are architecture and operations issues that arise when multiple data sources and tools must work together.

Dedicated blocks cover technological sovereignty, the quality of domestic software and equipment, cybersecurity and IT skills. The agenda also includes artificial intelligence in crop production and on farms, robotics, autonomous tractors, crop-treatment drones, milking robots and digital twins. These technologies are discussed in the context of everyday production needs, without assuming the same effect for every farm.

An industry exhibition accompanies the forum, with developments in geodata and satellite imagery as well as low-code tools for business-process automation. The meeting is scheduled at Lesnaya Safmar Hotel, 15 Lesnaya Street, Moscow. Its focus is the move from isolated digital projects to connected solutions for fields, farms and agribusiness management.
