About the event

Transatlantic business and trade

The conference examines how business and trade relations across the Atlantic can develop in 2026 and beyond. It brings business and political perspectives to the future of the transatlantic economy and the effects of a changing international environment on established industries.

Germany’s competitiveness

A central theme is Germany’s competitiveness. The programme connects innovation, sovereignty and defence with economic development and transatlantic cooperation, asking how businesses and policymakers can respond to current geopolitical conditions.

Geopolitics and technology

Geopolitical developments and advances in artificial intelligence and other technologies are changing traditional industries. The conference provides a forum for business and political leaders to discuss a resilient, future-oriented transatlantic agenda.

U.S. midterm elections

The conference takes place two days after the U.S. midterm elections. Its programme includes an initial analysis of the results and their potential implications for transatlantic economic relations.

Confirmed keynote speakers are Alan Meltzer, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Berlin; Boris Pistorius, Federal Minister of Defence of Germany; and Dr. Markus Kamieth, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors and CEO of BASF SE.
