History and role
The American Chamber of Commerce in Germany e.V. (AmCham Germany) was founded in 1903. It is a private, nonprofit business organization and one of Europe’s largest bilateral business associations. It represents companies engaged in German-American and wider transatlantic business across multiple industries.
Membership
Its membership includes small and medium-sized enterprises as well as global companies from a broad range of industries. Members share an interest in developing business relations between Germany and the United States. The organization connects business communities with economic and policy discussions.
Activities and services
AmCham Germany works on business representation, advocacy and communication in the transatlantic context. Its member services include individual business support, events, networking opportunities and sponsorship. The organization also maintains Policy Committees and publishes business information for its members, including the monthly Chamber News.
Offices and regional network
AmCham Germany has offices in Berlin and Frankfurt am Main and eight regional chapters in Germany. This network supports professional exchange and connections among companies in different regions and industries.
